About the Author

Belief defines existence.
Work and trial define life.
Life defines the soul.

Ranse Parker was raised on a small farm near a tiny town in Southern Idaho. His mother was a career school teacher and father a WWII veteran, janitor and humble farmer. With a propensity for tech and science, Ranse graduated from one of only two universities in the nation with an accredited wireless communications technology program. After graduation he was hired by Bonneville International Corporation as an Engineer for their Satellite Systems Division and later moved to KSL Radio as a Broadcast, Production and Audio Engineer.
He then moved into the private sector and worked for various companies in wireless engineering and management roles. In 1995 Ranse took his first real step toward entrepreneurship and organized Intermountain Wireless, Inc., a Wireless Systems Design & Integration company. His next company became the largest contiguous wireless network in a neighboring State. He then organized an Internet Service Provider focused on building-out public WiFi networks before they were commercially available, and dabbled in SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
The latter ventures saw varying degrees of success and Ranse eventually returned to his first company with only his trusted wife as a business partner. A few years after building a strong business and recovering financially, Ranse experienced a series of extraordinary personal events that led him to involuntarily abandon his lifelong tech career to focus entirely on secretly writing what would become the novel, CIRCLE OF DOORS.
When the manuscript was finally completed in 2007, the economy was failing. Agents and publishers weren’t interested so Ranse and his wife risked their home to secure a second mortgage using the proceeds to literally publish the book themselves. Thousands of copies were sold with signings at Barnes & Noble and Costco. The novel received national-awards for Visionary Fiction and earned praise from not only readers, but literary and film professionals as well.
Mr. Parker is an aviation, automotive, motorcycle and off-road enthusiast with a strong interest in science, tech, space, photography, music, CAD (Computer Aided Design), alternative energy systems, self-reliance and a variety of other subjects. He and his wife have four children, four grandchildren and currently live in Utah, USA.
